Six women who are working at Tesla’s Fremont, California factory filed a separate lawsuit in the California Superior Court against the Tesla company. They alleged that they’re subject to a culture of sexual harassment at the workplace.
Each woman claimed that they have reported the issue to the management. But no one took any steps against that issue. Earlier two women filed a lawsuit against the company with similar allegations. The woman said that the management just moved her to a different work area after expressing the issue.
All of these women claimed that their male coworkers frequently made comments towards their bodies or clothes. They have to experience abusive behavior like catcalling and inappropriate touching. Sometimes they have to make barricades in their workplace with boxes.
When these lawsuits unfolded, Tesla CEO Elon Musk was sending out snarky replies to Senator Elizabeth Warren. Senator Elizabeth Warren tweeted, “Let’s change the rigged tax code so The Person of the Year [Musk] will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else. Then Elon replied, “Elizabeth Warren is a fraud — Her lies about being Native American disqualify her from presidency.”
