Amazon has decided to expand its presence on the High Street. For this reason, the company open a non-food store called Amazon 4-star. It is expected that the shop will sell around 2,000 of its most popular and best-rated products.

The shop is in the Bluewater shopping mall near Dartford. The retail experts are saying that the shop could be “muddled and uninspiring”. This is the first Amazon 4-star store outside the USA. Amazon has more than 30 outlets in the US. They sell a wide range of products including books, electronics, toys, games, and homeware. These stores are the reflection of Amazon customers who are buying products online.

The global e-commerce giant Amazon has used digital price tags in this store. It will ensure the same price in-store and online. Customers don’t need an Amazon account to purchase products from here. The most interesting part is customers can collect items they ordered online. It also allows them to return the products without any packaging and labels.

The retail expert Natalie Berg said, “It’s about getting shoppers to engage with Amazon’s devices, reminding Prime customers of the value in their memberships, and offering additional choice when it comes to collection and returns of online orders.” She also mentioned the move as “is purely about experimentation”.
