As we all know, entrepreneurs are not just ordinary people. They think and act differently than most. They base their business ideas on personality traits, habits and mindsets. They find opportunities in almost everything – which you would think sometimes is borderline crazy. However, it does not necessarily mean that when you do think of something original, that you’re already cut out to be one.

If you’re just curious to find out if you really are, then you can check out this list below:

It’s A Family Thing

Yes, that’s right. It runs in the blood. Although it may not be true for everybody but many have a family history with either or both parents being self-employed. One good example are the Chinese people. It’s very important to them that their children inherit the family business and even start a venture of their own. They also supplement this idea by having their children study business related courses in college so they are able to manage the business with the right kind of knowledge.

You Hate The Status Quo

You don’t belong to the group of people who say yes all the time. You are someone that engages in deep thoughts as to why people do the things they do and for what cause. You make sure that your vision involves good change and make sure that you take action.

You Are Passionate

When we say that putting up a business is not for everybody, we’re dead serious. You may ask why? The answer to that is because starting a business requires patience and perseverance. For the first few months, you will be spending a lot of time working to get customers through the door and at times, you may not make money. A lot of people when given this kind of roadblock, automatically give up or move on to another venture. But when you are passionate about what you do, nothing or nobody can stop you.

Different Definition Of Job Security

When you’re business-minded, you believe that job security is not just about being able to work 8 hour shifts. You also believe that your job is safe if you are in control as opposed to those working for an employer.

Control Is My Middle Name

I think this one is pretty obvious. Entrepreneurs always love to be in control. They like to be in command of their own company and they like overseeing things personally. They are easy to approach but are stern when it comes to enforcing policies.

This list can go on and on. But even if you don’t have all of the above traits, don’t worry. After all, being an entrepreneur is a way of life and not just a job or a hobby you can quit at any time.
