Dozen More Chinese Companies Have Been Added To The US Government Restricted Trade List
The US government has decided to restrict trade with some Chinese technology firms. It is heard that a dozen more Chinese companies are included in this list due to national security and foreign policy concerns.

The government authority said that some of these companies are creating a threat to national security by helping the Chinese military’s quantum computing program. Recently the tensions grow between the US and China due to the status of Taiwan. Some other issues also are also making a cold relation between these two states. Earlier this month, the two economical giants discussed the trade issues at a virtual summit.

Earlier eight Chinese-based technology firms were added to the list. Then this so-called “Entity List” has increased due to national security reasons. The authority was concerned that these companies are assisting the Chinese military’s quantum computing efforts “to acquire US origin-items in support of military applications”.

This entity list has included a total of 27 new entities from different countries like China, Japan, Pakistan, and Singapore. It is expected that the new listings will stop using American technology to support the development of Chinese and Russian military advancement. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said in a statement, (the recent listing can prevent all the) “activities of non-proliferation concern like Pakistan’s unsafeguarded nuclear activities or ballistic missile program.”
